Non objective painting

Used a cool background to try and set a bright, easy to understand background for this piece. I then took deep, jewel tones colors to add interests to the marks. The colors were chosen throughout the process, and new colors were being added regularly. I used white and oranges to add a middle layer that contrasted the blue. Then small lines were added with different sized brushes. I stood back frequently and focused in on small squares of the painting, aiming to make it as complicated and energetic as I could.
