Non objective painting

I used a piece by Arthur Dove and tried to replicate the marks he had made on his piece. The piece has been natural lines and the color pallet is used to hold all of the various marks together in a cohesive manner. I explored outside of my preferred color pallet, using more deep natural tones. I plan on using bright colors to contrast between layers.
